After over a month since its official acquisition by Rockstar Games, the developer of GTA RP platform FiveM, Cfx.re, shared its first update with the community on September 15, 2023. Both the American game studio and the popular roleplay server host had been silent for a month following the announcement of their integration on August 11, 2023. Finally, the latter broke its silence and addressed some community questions.

The update to the community provided Grand Theft Auto 5 RP players with insights into the official measures Rockstar Games and FiveM are taking regarding the roleplay aspect.

FiveM GTA RP developers finally shared an update with the community.

The Cfx.re team shared a post titled “Community Pulse – September 2023 Edition” on X (formerly Twitter) to respond to some pressing questions the GTA 5 roleplay community had been asking for a month. The update clearly reflected the impact of Rockstar Games’ acquisition on the organization.

Initially, the developer clarified that the American game studio now fully owns the FiveM/Cfx.re brand. Many fans were wondering if it was a partnership or a complete acquisition, so the team responded that official Rockstar developers would now work alongside FiveM developers to enhance the roleplay experience.

The community update highlighted the following points regarding the improvement of the GTA RP experience:

1. Enhancing overall infrastructure stability to reduce disruptions.
2. Improving customer support experience.
3. Addressing security concerns using Rockstar Games’ tools.
4. General enhancements to the FiveM and RedM platforms.

The update also clarified that the acquisition by Rockstar Games would not change anything regarding how the FiveM and RedM platforms operate. The developer stated:

“…we have no intention of making major changes to how FiveM and RedM currently function. The team continues to operate as before, with the freedom to make decisions as before…”

However, the popular modding community made some changes to their Terms of Service and implemented new rules for GTA 5 roleplay servers. According to the official post, the Cfx.re team removed some RP servers that were violating their terms.
