The team behind the largest role-playing communities in Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2, Cfx.re, has become a part of Rockstar Games. This new partnership precedes the potential release of GTA 6 in 2024 and will lead to an updated policy that officially allows the addition of mods created within the FiveM and RedM communities to these successful open-world games.

Will We Have Official GTA 6 RP Mods in the Future?

The news that Rockstar Games now owns FiveM came ahead of the Grand Theft Auto 6 launch, and there’s speculation that Rockstar plans to release the game with its own online RPG features.

However, Cfx.re downplayed this suggestion, telling fans: “please don’t ask us about the next GTA!”

“And for those curious about what else Rockstar is working on, understand that our partnership is focused on our FiveM and RedM platforms. So, please don’t ask us about the next GTA!”

Despite the message from the FiveM developers, doubts lingered within the RP community, sparking expectations that in the near future, we might indeed have GTA 6 RP Mods created by Rockstar Games.

Rockstar Games is Known for Keeping Their Releases Secret

Over the past years, GTA 5 has maintained remarkable sales consistency, recording around five million units sold each quarter. Additionally, GTA Online has established itself as a fundamental revenue generator for Take-Two Interactive. While Rockstar confirmed active development of the highly anticipated GTA 6 in the previous year, the company has skillfully maintained a veil of secrecy surrounding the details and progress of this eagerly awaited project.

All of this is pure speculation at this point, as we have no confirmation about GTA 6 RP Download yet.
