Character switching in GTA 6 is shaping up to be a significant improvement over GTA 5, even in its pre-alpha version!

The gaming world is on the edge of its seat, anticipating a major announcement in the coming months—the much-anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI, commonly known as GTA 6 or GTA VI, might be closer than ever to becoming a reality.

When GTA 5 made its debut on the seventh generation of consoles, it introduced one of the franchise’s most groundbreaking features—the ability to switch between characters, which added a new dimension to the game’s campaign.

And from what we’ve seen so far, character switching in GTA 6 appears to be leaps and bounds ahead of GTA 5.

Based on a leaked video from the game’s pre-alpha development stage, the character transition in GTA 6 seems much smoother compared to any version of GTA 5.

In the video, you can observe that when transitioning from Jason to Lucia or vice versa, the actions the other character was performing seamlessly switch or refresh, much like the transitions between the three protagonists in Grand Theft Auto V. Additionally, the in-game environment is already filled with intricate details.

It’s worth noting that this is the same video that unveiled one of the songs from the game’s soundtrack, featuring “30 Days In the Hole” by Humble Pie playing in the background. This track is set to be part of GTA 6‘s soundtrack, likely featured on a radio station dedicated to the rock genre, such as the iconic V-Rock.
